I did not review this product a month ago when you sent me this link for I had not had the mic long and was still assessing how well it works. After a couple of months of using it, I conclude that it is of limited value. It is helpful only and only when I am facing a group of people in a moderately sized room. In this setting, it helped me hear the voices of those 10 or more feet away. If there are fewer people and they are near me, however, the hearing aids by themselves are superior. Also, the partner mic does not help if there is sound or voices behind me or off to the side. In these situations, the hearing aids programmed to focus on sounds directly in front of me is also superior. So the mic is of limited use.
There are two other things that are disappointing. The default setting for Ambient Balance creates an echo effect. Everything sounds like I am in an echo chamber distorting the voices or sounds. The echo effect can be minimized by sliding the Ambient Balance bar on the cell phone app to the left. That is helpful, but unfortunately, there is no way to save the setting forcing me to reset the Ambient Balance each time I used the Partner Mic.
I had hoped for more, especially for what I paid for it.
