Game changer in our house

Game changer in our house. Prior to hearing aids and this StarLink Edge TV Streamer, the TV would be loud and stressful. We have purchased two TV Streamers for den and primary bedroom. I can have the tv volume back on 4 again when he had to have it on 17 prior. My setup uses the USB cable to power the box and the optic cable to stream the TV streamer. No cords showing.

The feed is a little sensitive and disconnects often enough to be annoying.

I am not impressed by this device. It pauses on every notification you get and does not automatically come back. You have to manually press play again on your cell. Occasionally it or the app interface will loose one or both Starkey Edge hearing aids. You have to turn Bluetooth off the back on, sometimes you have to reset the app also. Looks like they rush this to the market with insufficient testing. I hooe the have updated soon. It is aggravating!

Works Well

This is easy to set up IF you are wearing the new Starkey Edge Ai HA's and IF you do NOT follow the Starkey instructions on connecting with the MyStarkey App. Even the excellent Customer Service for Omni suggested chatting with the Starkey reps. When I did, I discovered that one only has to tap the streaming icon found immediately above "Home" on the App and then select TV Streamer on the following screen. Two minor issues: The sound has an electronic tinny quality characteristic of most streamers and when a text arrives on your smartphone (mine is an Android), the streamer must be reset. But hey, I can now hear my TV through my HA's!

Until I purchased this product

Until I purchased this product, I had extreme difficulty hearing in noisy environments like restaurants. That is now a thing of the past! The directional mic pickup works wonderfully and has been a real game changer in allowing me to now enjoy dining out with friends.
